Sea buckthorn: a small berry with multiple benefits for the skin

What are Sea Buckthorn's benefits for the skin?

Its benefits are due to its rich content of vitamins A, C, E and F, beta-carotene, antioxidants and essential fatty acids (omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9). Products containing them are therefore ideal for dry or mature skin, but not only. However, we must distinguish between two types of sea buckthorn oil: that obtained from the seeds of the small berry and that obtained from its pulp.

Sea buckthorn seed oil

Sea buckthorn seed oil contains high levels of unsaturated fatty acids, which boost cell renewal and improve skin appearance. They also help reinforce the epidermis' hydrolipidic film, while preserving the water content of the stratum corneum.

Oil extracted from the fruit pulp

The oil obtained from sea buckthorn flesh is very rich in beta-carotenes (the precursors of vitamin A) and palmitoleic acid, which offers effective protection against free radicals and helps combat the signs of aging. The latter also promotes the renewal of damaged cells. The orange color of this oil (thanks to the presence of beta-carotenes) gives an instant healthy glow.

Sea buckthorn skincare: for which skin types?

La Maison de l'Argousier offers a range of skin care products designed to treat a variety of skin problems, including dryness, lack of radiance, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation spots and tightness. They are therefore suitable for many women concerned about the health and beauty of their skin, especially as sea buckthorn oil has no known contraindications.

For dry, sensitive skin

Sea buckthorn has recognized virtues for dry, sensitive skin. In addition to its moisturizing effects, it also helps relieve irritation, discomfort and tightness.

For mature skin

Sea buckthorn oil-based skin care products are particularly recommended for mature skin. Their nourishing, antioxidant and protective properties help fight the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and limit cell aging.

[pub_produit]

For skin with imperfections

Sea buckthorn oil also slows down the proliferation of microbes, which is useful for preventing and reducing blemishes. It also has healing properties, helping to limit the appearance of unsightly marks and scars.

What are the origins of sea buckthorn?

Sea buckthorn has been used medicinally since ancient times. It is also widely used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, as well as in Ayurvedic medicine. Sea buckthorn's properties are used to treat certain skin and mucous membrane disorders, digestive problems, irregular and painful menstruation, certain cardiovascular disorders...

China currently has 300,000 hectares of sea buckthorn orchards, and manufactures over 200 products containing sea buckthorn in around 150 factories. The oil in La Maison de l'Argousier products, however, doesn't come from so far away. The plantations are located in Moldavia, in Eastern Europe, and our oil is produced using methods that respect the active ingredients it contains as much as possible. All our products are then manufactured in France using natural ingredients. What's more, they are not tested on animals, and their packaging is designed to generate as little waste as possible.

For stressed, tired skin

Thanks to the vitamin F it contains, Sea Buckthorn oil has a smoothing and regenerating action. Signs of fatigue are reduced, and skin regains its suppleness and softness.

Sea buckthorn or arbutus: what are the differences?

Although their names are very similar in French, the Latin names for sea buckthorn and arbutus (Hippophae rhamnoides and Arbutus unedo) have nothing in common. However, they both produce small berries with valuable health benefits. The shrub is little known in France, and La Maison de l'Argousier has decided to use its berries in the composition of its cosmetic products, so that everyone can enjoy its many benefits.

Two wild shrubs

Although their names are very similar in French, the Latin names for sea buckthorn and arbutus (Hippophae rhamnoides and Arbutus unedo) have nothing in common. The shrub is little known in France, and La Maison de l'Argousier has decided to use its berries in the composition of its cosmetic products, so that everyone can enjoy its many benefits.

Arbutus and sea buckthorn are both wild shrubs. The former is evergreen and often used for hedging. The latter is covered in thorns and is particularly frost-resistant. Both produce berries rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. The fruit of the arbutus is round and red when fully ripe, while that of the sea buckthorn is more elongated and orange in color.

Arbutus belongs to the Ericaceae family, which also includes heathers, and grows mainly in southern Europe, western Asia and North Africa. Sea Buckthorn, on the other hand, belongs to the Eleagnaceae family and grows over a much wider area, encompassing much of Europe, Asia and Russia.

Les fruits de l’argousier ou de l’arbousier se consomment-ils ?

L’argousier

Sea buckthorn berries can be eaten raw, in salads for example, or used in sauces, syrups, jams, chutneys, juices, etc. They are very rich in amino acids and vitamins C, E, B1 and B2, which help stimulate the body, regenerate cells and fight the signs of aging.

L’arbousier

Arbutus fruit can also be eaten raw. It has a slightly sweet and tangy taste, but is nevertheless quite bland. That's why it's best eaten as a coulis, compote or jam. It's also advisable not to eat too much of it, otherwise you risk suffering from colic. Arbutus fruit is rich in flavonoids and is traditionally used to improve venous problems and hypertension.

Sea buckthorn oil applications

Known for its energizing and antioxidant properties, sea buckthorn is the basis of many cosmetics. Used in the form of vegetable oil, the plant is suitable for all skin types. Here's an overview of its applications and benefits for skin and hair. Sea buckthorn oil is obtained from the pulp of the berries and seeds of this shrub. Legend has it that Genghis Khan already appreciated its benefits for his horses! The oil contains high concentrations of vitamins A and E, as well as flavonoids (vitamin P) with proven anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant and antioxidant qualities.

Applications of sea buckthorn oil on the skin

The antioxidant effect of sea buckthorn oil

Sea buckthorn oil is so rich in antioxidants that its use has exceeded terrestrial limits! Several cosmonauts have used it to protect themselves from cosmic rays, attesting to the berry's powerful antioxidant effect. On a daily basis, sea buckthorn oil helps slow the effects of aging and cellular oxidation. Rich in vitamin E, Sea Buckthorn oil also has anti-wrinkle properties and is particularly suitable for mature skin.

Apply a few drops of Sea Buckthorn oil, warmed in the palm of your hand, to clean, dry skin. Gently massaging into the face and body, the oil penetrates the skin, visibly nourishing and softening it. Gradually, the skin wakes up and becomes visibly brighter and healthier.

Anti-inflammatory properties

Rich in omega-3 and sterols, sea buckthorn oil soothes sensitive, irritated or injured skin. Its healing properties help the skin to regenerate, especially in the event of sunburn or burns. Before or after sunbathing, it soothes the skin and helps combat dry or tight skin thanks to its 70% linoleic and linolenic acids, fatty acids that help maintain skin elasticity.

Both preventive and curative, it can be used to treat irritation, chapping, cracks, chilblains, blisters, brown spots, depigmentation and dehydration. Although this oil contains carotenoids for protection from the sun, it does not dispense with a high index sun protection filter!

An immediate healthy-glow effect!

Thanks to beta-carotene, a precursor of provitamin A, sea buckthorn oil is lightly tinted, and when applied to clean, dry skin, it instantly awakens and brightens the complexion! Applied with a gentle massage, it softens the skin and gives it a comfortable velvety feel. Sea Buckthorn oil can be applied to skin of all ages with pleasure, for a truly relaxing experience!

Sea buckthorn oil, massage oil

Particularly recommended for massage, Sea Buckthorn oil immediately produces a relaxing and soothing effect. The properties of palmitoleic and palmitic acids give the skin a comfortable elasticity, nourish it deeply and soften it immediately. Organically grown, it is fully traceable, from sourcing to bottle.

Sea buckthorn oil to reduce imperfections

Thanks to its healing properties, acne sufferers will appreciate using this oil to limit the appearance of unsightly marks and scars. What's more, its composition naturally inhibits the proliferation of microbes, helping to regulate acne and microcysts. Seabuckthorn oil is therefore a valuable and pleasant aid for young skin that may be experiencing discomfort.

Sea buckthorn oil applications on hair

Revitalize hair

With its exceptional nourishing properties, sea buckthorn oil is the perfect ally for dry or damaged hair! It quickly penetrates hair fibers and works to regenerate hair as it does skin. Its antioxidant virtues work wonders without heaviness or greasiness. Its softening properties also lighten hair, helping to smooth frizz for healthy, mermaid-like hair!

Soothe irritated scalps

Thanks to its soothing and cleansing properties, sea buckthorn oil relieves scalp irritation and nourishes the scalp deep down. No more tightness! Just a few drops are all it takes to massage Sea Buckthorn berry oil into the scalp and feel its benefits immediately.

Stimulate keratin, strengthen hair

Sea buckthorn oil is a veritable vitamin bomb, naturally stimulating the production of keratin, which makes up the vast majority of hair fibers. After warming a few drops of Sea Buckthorn Oil in the palm of your hand, massage it into the scalp and hair roots with your fingertips. Over time, your hair will grow better and faster. Your hair is stronger, shinier and more supple - a daily delight!

As a revitalizing mask

Do you take time for yourself? Take time for your hair too! Apply a small amount of sea buckthorn oil, warmed in the palm of your hand, to your hair, especially at the roots and ends. Wait two hours, then wash with your usual shampoo and rinse with clean water. Strengthened and deeply nourished, your hair will thank you!

Plant totum: turning biomimicry into cosmetic innovation

A term widely used in pharmacopoeia and phytotherapy, the use of plant totum in the development of cosmetics and medicinal products challenges certain received ideas.

Totum: the plant's truth

For many years now, the active principles of plants have invaded our daily lives. From our food to our medicines and anti-aging treatments, many principles have been developed to benefit us in the simplest way possible. But while the intention is laudable, the result can be surprisingly counterproductive. Because, just like the environment or our own bodies, plants work on the principle of synergy. Unbalance just one of its components and the harmony is broken, the plant's benefits are degraded and no longer have the same efficacy.

Naturally, a principle extracted and exploited for its qualities functions in a number of medicines, sometimes leading to remarkable medical advances, as was the case when an acid isolated from meadowsweet (acetylsalicylic acid) was used to create aspirin. However, in many cases, using the whole plant allows us to benefit from its constituent interactions, which in turn enhances the efficacy of the substances it contains.

Simply put, the totality of a plant's substances (the totum) is greater than the sum of its parts. This mathematically defying observation is due to the fact that the plant's totum takes into account the interactions between substances, as well as the substances themselves. This synergy, which characterizes plants and enables them to deploy a wealth of inventiveness to resist all kinds of difficulties (cold, sun, lack of water, the succession of years, etc.), is precisely what interests pharmacopoeia and cosmetics.

[pub_produit]

What are the benefits for cosmetics?

First and foremost, a number of conditions must be met before totum can be reconstituted in a cosmetic product. The plant must be of high quality and grow in good conditions. La Maison de l'Argousier uses only sea buckthorn berries of the "clara" variety grown on its own organic farm in Moldavia, guaranteeing the clarity and exemplary traceability of its products.

Since cut plants rapidly lose the effectiveness of their constituent principles, it's best to use freshly harvested plants, or to freeze them very quickly using the enzymatic extraction process. At the end of this process, which does not degrade the plant's chemical substances, the aqueous and oily phases are obtained. These phases then have to be carefully reconstituted into the totum, in order to achieve biomimicry as close as possible to the truth of the plant.

A comparison of La Maison de l'Argousier cosmetics with those using just one or two active ingredients reveals a gentler, more elegant synergy of ingredients with the skin. The biological symbiosis reconstituted in each bottle promotes a stronger, longer-lasting action in the context of daily use of our product range.

While the manufacturing process for our products is slower and gentler than traditional, aggressive, solvent-intensive processes, it is above all healthier, more ecological and closer to the truth of the plant. In this respect, the products developed by La Maison de l'Argousier are based on the research of physician and surgeon Jean Valnet (1920 - 1995), considered one of the founding fathers of modern phytotherapy:

"There are several synergistic constituents in plants which mean that the action resulting from their use is less brutal, more prolonged and more complete than that of the chemical principle, which explains why natural medicines are, on the whole, better tolerated by the body than artificially created foreign substances, whose long-term toxicity and incidental effects are poorly understood".

Dr Jean Valnet, La phytothérapie, se soigner par les plantes, 1986

A simple, effective routine for combination skin

Sebaceous glands are more numerous on the median part of the face, the famous T-zone. In combination skin, they tend to produce excess sebum, either genetically or due to external factors such as stress, heat and pollution. The result: pores are generally dilated on the forehead, nose and chin, with blackheads and sometimes pimples. Conversely, the rest of the face is dehydrated, leading to localized tightness. It's therefore essential to establish an appropriate combination skin routine to balance sebum production, while maintaining good hydration.

Gentle double cleaning

Washing your face in the morning and evening is a marvellous ally in the fight against skin ageing... as long as you do it twice! Perfectly clean, the skin is better oxygenated and ready to receive its treatments. As the days go by, shine fades and the complexion looks more radiant.

Step 1: Make-up removal

An effective skincare routine for combination skin always begins with a make-up removal session. Whether you're into make-up or not! When you wake up in the morning, this beauty routine eliminates the excess sebum generated during the night. In the evening, it rids the skin of impurities accumulated throughout the day. For this purpose, you can use a micellar water. Its gentle surfactants regulate sebum production without drying out the most sensitive areas. Don't be afraid of oils either, which are just as beneficial if they're of plant origin. Sea buckthorn oil, in particular, works miracles thanks to its concentration of nourishing and protective fatty acids, which dissolve toxins present on the skin's surface while providing a pleasant sensation of comfort.

Step 2: Cleaning

To complete your make-up removal routine, continue with a gentle gel or bar soap for combination skin. Obtained from a blend of butters or oils, it deeply unclogs pores while respecting the hydrolipidic balance of the epidermis. Massage gently, paying particular attention to the T-zone. You can also use a cleansing oil, as long as it has a vegetable base. The most important thing is to avoid astringent products, as aggressed skin will tend to secrete more sebum to defend itself. All that's left is to rinse your face with a tonic lotion. This trick removes limescale from tap water, which is reputed to be drying.

[pub_produit]

Essential gestures

Now that your skin has been cleansed, it's time to move on to skincare. The aim of a facial routine for combination skin is to rebalance the oil-water ratio.

Intensely moisturized skin

Of course, your skin protects itself by creating sebum. But if it's not sufficiently moisturized, it'll overproduce sebum, at the risk of clogging your pores. That's why your combination-skin skincare routine should include a moisturizer, to be used morning and night. Forget nourishing creams, which are far too rich in lipids! Instead, opt for a light-textured fluid with a non-greasy finish. Packed with water, it helps maintain optimum moisture levels in the stratum corneum, thus reinforcing the cutaneous barrier. Skin is better protected and won't need to produce excess sebum. To maximize the benefits of the moisturizing cream, La Maison de l'Argousier recommends applying a serum concentrated in natural active ingredients to the entire face beforehand. Sea Buckthorn vegetable oil is a perfect shield against moisture loss. On its own or as a serum, it activates natural hydration while eliminating shine. As an added bonus, your skin is replenished with anti-aging vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. It's instantly comforted and regains its natural radiance. Enjoy without moderation!

Targeted care

Exfoliation is the ultimate beauty routine, provided it's not too aggressive! Once a week, a micro-grain exfoliating scrub gently removes dead skin cells. In addition to improving the penetration of active ingredients, it eliminates imperfections, smoothes fine lines and brightens the complexion. Immediately afterwards, apply a purifying, mattifying clay or thyme mask to the T-zone. Simply treat the rest of the face to a moisturizing, soothing mask. For this, you can apply a thin layer of Sea Buckthorn moisturizing cream, a shrub rich in small orange berries full of virtues. To preserve the integrity of the plant's active ingredients, La Maison de l'Argousier relies on gentle, chemical-solvent-free manufacturing processes. Made from 96-98% natural and organic ingredients, not tested on animals and packaged in recyclable packaging, they take care of your skin as well as the planet. Finally, to get rid of blackheads, include an astringent and antibacterial lotion in your routine for combination skin. This solution will purify the skin and prevent localized inflammation.

Native sea buckthorn berry water reconstituted in our creams

Sea buckthorn is a small fruit that is still little known in France, but which is revolutionizing the world of cosmetics. In fact, it's a veritable concentrate of highly effective active ingredients for preserving skin health and youthfulness: vitamins C, A and E, antioxidants, amino acids, trace elements, beta-carotene, essential fatty acids, vitamin F...

The benefits of sea buckthorn-based products (creams, oils and skin care waters) are numerous:

  • They have anti-aging properties and help protect the epidermis from damage caused by free radicals.
  • They help keep skin smooth and stimulate skin cell regeneration.
  • Theydeeply moisturize the skin.
  • They have protective and restorative properties and help combat skin dryness.
  • They help fight spots and imperfections and have a "healthy glow effect".

The berries used in our products are organically grown. They are grown in Moldavia, a country on Europe's doorstep, and are certified by the German organization CERES Gmbh. Several ingredients are added afterwards to enhance stability and shelf life, but above all, no controversial substances. So you can be sure that only natural, sourced and ecologically responsible ingredients are used on your skin.

Qu’est-ce que l’eau végétale d’argousier ?

Like oil,sea buckthorn vegetable water is one of the components used in the cosmetics offered by La Maison de l'Argousier. It is extracted from the berries by enzymation, a process that optimally preserves the properties of the active ingredients. This process is particularly respectful, unlike others which use heat or solvents which tend to reduce the effectiveness of the ingredients.

[pub_produit]

It should also be noted that all fruits and berries found in nature are composed of a hydrophilic (watery) and lipophilic (oily) part, although the proportions vary from one fruit to another. In the case of sea buckthorn berries, the hydrophilic part accounts for 95-98%. This combination of two phases optimizes the benefits of each active ingredient by creating synergies, thus creating the Totum.

The Totum represents all the active ingredients in the berry, and its therapeutic effect is greater than that of any one of them taken separately, as they act in interaction. To obtain La Maison de l'Argousier products, we begin by extracting the water and oil from the berries, then use them to reconstitute the berry's plant totum, which has the advantage of having a fatty acid composition very similar to that of our skin. This totum serves as the basis for all our products, considerably enhancing their efficacy.

By using La Maison de l'Argousier products, you can be sure of giving your skin the very best, and making the most of the moisturizing, regenerating, protective, repairing and anti-aging properties of the little berry. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our products or their use. We'll be delighted to help.

A Sea Buckthorn skincare routine for perfect skin

A natural oil with exceptional virtues

Sea buckthorn oil owes its exceptional properties to its richness in carotenoids, essential fatty acids and vitamins.

The benefits of carotenoids

Carotenoids are molecules with strong antioxidant properties. They limit the degeneration of skin cells and help combat the free radicals responsible for skin aging.

Carotenoids also help combat the damaging effects of the sun's rays, preventing the appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation spots. Finally, it promotes melanin synthesis, enhancing your tan. That's why using a sea buckthorn oil facial moisturizing serum during the summer is particularly positive.

Focus on essential fatty acids

Essential fatty acids are vital for building the skin's defensive barrier, and their anti-inflammatory properties are particularly beneficial for your skin. Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 also help reduce blemishes and combat redness, itching and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Finally, polyunsaturated fatty acids promote skin regeneration and help reduce scarring.

The role of vitamins

Sea buckthorn oil is very rich in vitamins A (retinols) and E. Vitamin A, including retinol, reduces the thickness of the stratum corneum, which improves the skin's irregular appearance and cell renewal. In fact, it smoothes wrinkles, diminishes spots, tones the skin, brightens the complexion and helps reduce acne.

As for vitamin E, it's a highly effective anti-aging weapon. It actively combats the overproduction of free radicals and protects healthy cells from oxidation, thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of aging. It also preserves the skin's hydration and thus its suppleness and elasticity.

A few tips for incorporating sea buckthorn into your facial care routine

Including sea buckthorn oil in your facial skin care routine is beneficial for all ages and all times of the year.

[pub_produit]

Using sea buckthorn oil in summer

For your summer facial care routine, sea buckthorn oil can be used as a pre-sun treatment. It prepares your skin for exposure to the sun and minimizes dehydration. It will also help prevent sunburn, in conjunction with sun protection adapted to your skin type, of course.

Sea buckthorn oil can also be used as an after-sun treatment to enhance and prolong your tan. This after-sun routine also has the added benefit of countering the damaging effects of UV radiation.

An ally for mature skin

Using a sea buckthorn skin care product (anti-aging cream or moisturizing serum) morning and night will help combat the signs of aging. You can apply it morning or evening, to the face, neck and décolleté. Massage in with fingertips until fully absorbed. You can then apply your usual moisturizer if you wish.

For acne-prone skin

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, sea buckthorn facilitates the performance of specific acne treatments. It helps purify the skin and limit the appearance of pimples. So don't hesitate to use it if you have oily skin prone to blemishes. For optimum effectiveness, apply a few drops of Sea Buckthorn Oil to clean, slightly damp skin on your face and neck, and massage in gently. Pay particular attention to the T-zone and other blemish-prone areas. You can also add a few drops of vegetable oil to your usual skin care product for oily skin. This will boost its effectiveness.

If you use pure oil, it's very light and doesn't leave a greasy film on the skin. You can therefore apply make-up immediately afterwards.

For damaged skin

If your skin is prone to irritation, flaking and chapping, consider sea buckthorn for your facial beauty routine. Thanks to its emollient, repairing and healing properties, your little worries will soon be a thing of the past.

Use your sea buckthorn moisturizing cream or serum daily after thoroughly cleansing your skin. After a few days, you'll see a marked improvement in damaged areas and your skin will be intensely moisturized. If you have chapped lips, you can also apply a little oil to them before going to bed, for example. The same applies to damaged hands and feet.

Like a plant that needs watering, the skin needs specific care. If you dream of looking radiant in all circumstances, it's essential to put in place an appropriate beauty routine. To pamper your face, however, there's no need to spend hours in the bathroom. Nor do you have to resort to a whole host of products. With a few simple hygienic gestures and some regularity, you'll quickly regain a luminous complexion and genuine peach skin!

Wash skin morning and night

Clean skin is the foundation of any facial beauty routine. Without it, you can apply the highest-quality cosmetics, but they won't work. Worse still, imperfections would only persist. That's why it's so important to wash your face in the morning, and never forget the evening! This first step removes dirt from the skin and prepares it for subsequent treatments.

Make-up removal

Make-up removal is an essential part of a good facial routine. Even if you don't wear make-up, you'll be amazed at how many impurities are removed during this step! Simply soak a cotton pad in micellar water. Its refreshing, watery texture is very pleasant in the morning and instantly restores radiance to the complexion. In the evening, opt for a cocooning treatment such as a vegetable oil. Sea buckthorn oil is suitable for all skin types and removes waterproof make-up without rubbing. Non-comedogenic, soothing and emollient, it's perfect for the sensitive area around the eyes.

Cleaning

Scrubbing

Cleansing is an essential part of the morning and evening facial care routine. However, don't use just anything, as this can dry out your skin. Opt for a very mild soap with a high proportion of natural ingredients, and ideally one that's extra-greasy if you have dry or acne-prone skin. If your skin is sensitive, a dermatological bar with an acid pH will provide a real sensation of comfort. To complete this ritual, don't hesitate to spray on a tonic lotion. In the morning, it eliminates excess sebum, while in the evening, it sweeps away the last impurities while neutralizing hard water. Why not make your own? Mix two tablespoons of cider vinegar and a small cup of mineral water in a spray bottle. Apply all over the face and leave to dry.

[pub_produit]

Scrubbing

Once or three times a week, include an exfoliation session in your skincare routine. Regular exfoliation is essential to deeply cleanse the skin and stimulate cell renewal. This prevents dead cells from accumulating on the skin's surface. The complexion is clear, the skin smoothed and ready to receive moisturizing cream. La Maison de l'Argousier invites you to make your own scrub with ingredients from the cupboard: a mixture of coffee, honey and sea buckthorn oil will do the trick perfectly!

Optimum hydration

No matter what your skin type or age, a skincare routine cannot do without meticulous moisturizing. Not only is well-moisturized skin more supple and plumper. But it's also guaranteed to delay the formation of wrinkles.

The serum

Make-up remover

Ultra-concentrated, the serum penetrates deep into the epidermis to release all its active ingredients without leaving a greasy film. For maximum effectiveness, La Maison de l'Argousier recommends applying a few drops to the face, neck and décolleté before bedtime, as the skin regenerates during sleep. How about a sea buckthorn oil serum? Composed of fatty acids and anti-aging vitamins A, C and E, these small orange berries help combat wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and loss of facial contours. They also help strengthen the hydrolipidic film, naturally reducing inflammatory reactions such as itching, pimples and dermatitis like eczema.

Moisturizing cream

A moisturizing cream is an integral part of your face care routine, morning and night. Acting as a protective barrier, it helps the skin to cope with the day and promotes its restoration at night. If you have combination or oily skin, you need a fluid consistency containing refreshing agents. If your skin is dry or mature, turn to a denser texture, containing more fatty substances. La Maison de l'Argousier offers you an organic moisturizing cream, free from controversial substances like all its products. Made in France using gentle techniques and not tested on animals, it delivers all its benefits, leaving skin soft and comfortable from the very first application.

Sun protection

Only dark clouds filter out all ultra-violet rays! In this context, using sunscreen in summer and winter alike is a vital part of your facial routine. Especially when you know that UV rays are the main cause of premature skin aging... They emit free radicals, which are harmful to collagen and elastic fibers. So you're less likely to see wrinkles and unsightly spots!

The mask

A step in the facial beauty routine that is sometimes neglected, the mask is nevertheless a precious ally in restoring radiance and vitality to your skin. Moisturizing, nourishing, soothing, purifying, brightening or firming, there's bound to be a mask to suit your needs! So treat yourself to a mask session once a week after exfoliation. Leave on for 10 minutes, then relax...
